Lisa Phelps, PT
Physical Therapist
Lisa has been a PT for over 34 years, gaining experience and practicing her profession in multiple settings. Daemen College in Amherst, NY is her alma mater. After almost 10 years in both inpatient care and outpatient sports medicine in southern California, she relocated to Maryland to be closer to family.
Faith, family, and fitness have been her central passions. She had the passion to look for an environment where she could evaluate and treat clients in a more holistic, full body approach because often we don’t have just one issue. Cornerstone was the answer to that search. Lisa loves to work with the youth, the older folks and everyone in between. She is a strong advocate for total well-being. She
has manual therapy experience using a variety of techniques: fascial release, muscle energy technique,
strain/counterstrain and cranial work. She loves to integrate the changes made with manual therapy techniques in functional ways including exercise. She enjoys helping people with chronic conditions and assisting them in achieving better homeostasis. When not working, Lisa enjoys Bible study, women’s fellowship and walking along her family members in their journey of faith. She is the mom of two high school students who are a great blessing. She has run 37 marathons and 6 fifty mile races and feels she could have accomplished nothing if God had not equipped her and guided her.
