Grace Wallace, MA, LGPC

Grace has come to view the person with awe, respect, and hope - "People are such intricate and perplexing beings. We are reasonable yet irrational, habitual yet ever-changing, fragmented yet whole. Considering such complexities, I value the therapeutic relationship as the foundation for growth. Healing and joy springs forth in the context of trusting and honest relationships. Therefore, I strive to meet clients with authenticity and acceptance, helping them cultivate greater awareness of themselves, target irrational beliefs, and discover the freedom to make meaningful changes."

Grace is a graduate of Franciscan University where she received her bachelor’s degree in nursing and master’s degree in clinical counseling. Grace first pursued nursing to serve and be an instrument of healing. Her nursing experience focused on long-term care, hospice, dementia care, and rehabilitation. However, what struck her, even more than the physical pain, was the profound suffering of the hearts, minds, and souls of the patients. Now, as a counselor, Grace seeks to attend to all aspects of the person.

Her work is grounded, first and foremost, in the truth of who we are and who we are created to be. Building from that foundation, Grace’s approach is integrative and individualized, tailored to each client’s needs and goals. Her primary modalities are Gestalt, person-centered, and existential therapy. Through somatic techniques, she incorporates the body as a source of insight, exploring how it holds trauma, communicates our beliefs, and serves as a powerful resource for tangible change. Grace considers it an honor to accompany clients on their journey towards healing and integration.

Outside of work, Grace loves competing in sports, being outside in nature, and spending time with the Lord in mass and adoration.
